Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Buy Miles Up To 60% Mystery Bonus Sale Through May 31, 2020

Alaska Airlines has launched Mileage Plan Mystery Bonus sale that allows members to buy miles at up to 60% bonus through May 31, 2020.

Alaska Airlines joins Oneworld in 2021 (read more here), but already has ties with many airlines for earning and redeeming miles such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Emirates, Finnair, and Aer Lingus.

Air Canada Aeroplan Travel At Home-Promotion April 20 – May 31, 2020

Air Canada has today launched new Travel at Home-promotion for Aeroplan members to collect award and bonus Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) between April 20 – May 31, 2020.

Members that earn 50,000 miles during this promotion from partner activity will receive Altitude Prestige 25K-status valid through 2021. Current Altitude members can receive one category status upgrade from this promotion up to Elite 75K.

World Of Hyatt Free Night Award Extensions Processed Through December 31, 2021

World of Hyatt announced back on April 3, 2020 (read more here) that elite tiers would be extended by a year and free night awards through December 31, 2021.

Elite tiers were already extended last week through February 28, 2022 (read more here), and today Hyatt has processed the free night awards.

Norwegian’s Swedish & Danish Pilot & Cabin Crew Subsidiaries File For Bankruptcy

Norwegian’s Swedish and Danish pilot and cabin crew companies have filed for bankruptcy. The airline has also terminated its agreement with jointly owned OSM Aviation subsidiaries that have provided the airline with crew in Spain, UK, Finland, Sweden, and the US.

This move removes 1,571 pilots and 3,134 cabin crew, and the airline is left, for now, with 700 pilots and 1,300 cabin crew members based in Norway, France, and Italy.

Virgin Australia Into Administration


As we reported last week, Virgin Australia has been trying to find a solution to avert going into administration and has failed to negotiate a bailout deal with the Australian federal and regional governments.

Deloitte has confirmed that it was appointed as the administrator and people working on the case. The airline itself hasn’t, however, made an official announcement yet.

IHG Rewards Club 50% Bonus Points Package Bonus Select Americas Hotels Through December 30, 2020

IHG Rewards Club has extended a 50% bonus on Bonus Points Packages when staying at select Americas hotels through December 30, 2020.

Members must book their stays at the hotels below by June 30 to qualify. Bonus Points Package points are elite qualifying, but the extra 50% bonus points are not.

SAS Eurobonus Won’t Extend Points Due To COVID-19


We wrote last week about SAS Eurobonus policies in regards to the coronavirus (read more here) and what I thought to be an incomplete response from the airline.
